Learning Together
At its core, CLAN is committed to learning together in the spirit of sharing knowledge, information, expertise and being open to new ways of working in order to best meet the needs of those impacted by DVA and CCB.
As a Network we recognise the need for the development of a shared understanding and building the capacity and confidence of practitioners to best support someone experiencing DVA or CCB and living in a violent/abusive home environment.
We promote trauma informed practice, meeting people where they are and advocating on behalf of those who may need a voice at their most vulnerable time.

Childhood Trauma and the Brain
We promote all organisations in making their working environment a safe space and being champions for those who may be impacted by DVA and CCB to talk about their experiences.
They can do this by:
• Display posters, brochures and information on local, regional and national Domestic Abuse services
• Put information into toilets so that victims can discreetly pick it up
• Provide training to staff regarding DVA service provision and training on how to respond to a disclosure of DVA and CCB
